Famous stars details "leaked" by Virgin employee

 

A Virgin Atlantic employee has resigned amid claims she leaked confidential flight details of celebrities to one of the world’s biggest paparazzi agencies Big Pictures, reports the UK's The Daily Telegraph newspaper. 

The famous international superstars are claim to include Scarlett Johansson, Gwyneth Paltrow and Sienna Miller and singers Robbie Williams and Nicole Scherzinger as well as Cheryl Cole and some England football stars.

The employee who worked on board the Upper Deck serving food, drinks, refreshments and duty free is alleged to have passed high profile passenger information onto the photographic agency.


Virgin has launched an investigation into this adding, "The security of customer information is our highest priority and we have robust processes in place to ensure that passenger information is protected. The incident that has been alleged concerns eight customers' flights booked in 2010 and we are in contact with all of those people.”

The Daily Telegraph also reports that the Big Picture photographic agency owned by Darryn Lyons, was unavailable for comment.
